 Abstract:  Ihna Thayer Frary (1873-1965) was the membership and publicity secretary of the Cleveland Museum of Art (1921-1946) and author of books concerning historic homes and properties. The collection consists of one photograph album and loose photographs of mostly architectural views, including several of Shandy Hall, Geneva, Ohio. The photograph album includes views of Frary's travels to the West, and many postcards.

 Abstract:  Richard N. Campen was a Cleveland, Ohio, area architectural historian who authored numerous books and articles on architecture in Ohio and the Western Reserve. His work not only dealt with architectural styles, but with particular architects as well. The collection consists of views of buildings throughout the Western Reserve and Ohio. These photographs were used in the compilation of two books by Campen; Architecture of the Western Reserve (1971) and Ohio - an Architectural Portrait (1973). Also included are photographs of Campen family and friends.

 Abstract:  Jeremiah Merritt Greene (1829-1916) was a Cleveland, Ohio, professional photographer. He came to Cleveland in 1857 from Syracuse, New York, and learned photographic processes through his work at the studio of Cleveland photographer James F. Ryder. He opened his first studio in Cleveland in 1859, and maintained his photographic business in there until 1910. The collection consists of one photograph album, titled Photographic Sketches by J. M. Greene, and including eighteen albumen paper prints made by Cleveland, Ohio photographer Jeremiah Merritt Greene. The images include views of Western Reserve architecture, hotels, homes, a locomotive, a paddle-wheel steamship, Abraham Lincoln's catafalque on Public Square in Cleveland, Ohio, views of an unidentified river (possibly the Chagrin River falls), and the First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland, known as the Old Stone Church. Copy prints are available for preliminary research purposes.
